We raise turkeys and chickens on certified organic pasture and feed in NE Oregon. We started Tailfeather Farm in 2021 with a love for Sunday chicken dinners and a sense of opportunity. We've learned that a good meal has the power to make someones day, and that someone may go on to do amazing things in this world. That is the power of food. We’d be happy to be just one small part of your plate while you connect with the people you love over something everyone can agree on!

We raise Freedom Ranger chickens and Broad Breasted White and Spanish Black turkeys. All of our poultry is reared in our brooder barns from 2 days old until 4 weeks, at which time they move to pasture and are kept in mobile coops which move continuously throughout the remainder of their time with us. At 10 weeks for the chickens and 16 weeks for the turkeys, it's time to head to our USDA processor in Idaho who professionally handles the toughest part of the job, returning an air chilled and vacuum sealed product to us for our customers. This year we are in the process of certifying organic with Oregon Tilth. Our pasture, feed and all inputs are certified organic. Not all of our poultry from this season are certified, but all have been raised in the same way with certified organic ingredients. We hope to have our seal of approval this week, so our next flocks will all be labeled organic.
