Central Oregon's
Fill Your Pantry

a Bulk Buying pop up Farmers Market

Picture

The 8th Annual Central Oregon Fill Your Pantry is a community bulk buying farmers market created so YOU can fill up your pantry, freezer, and root cellar full of great local products for the winter. Say bye-bye to busy holiday lines and produce that has traveled farther than you during holiday vacations, and say hello to a cupboard full of local meat, grains, vegetables, ferments, and more.

The Central Oregon Fill Your Pantry will allow you to stock up on items like potatoes, onions, leeks, beets, winter squash, garlic, honey, flours, apples, pears, dried beans, krauts, baked goods, and more.

This is a bulk focused farmers market, so bring your muscles! Farmers, ranchers, orchardists, and producers will be selling large quantities of items. For example, 20lb bags of onions, 50lb bags of potatoes, 25lb ground beef boxes, etc. This is a great opportunity for vendors to move product before the harsh Central Oregon winter and a great opportunity for YOU to save money and eat well all winter long.

Fill Your Pantry Cookbook Swap!

Picture
This year, we will be hosting our first ever cookbook swap. The concept is simple- bring a cookbook (or cookbooks) that you no longer need or that you've memorized all the recipes, head to the Cookbook Swap booth, leave your book for another to grab for free, and pick up a new-to-you cookbook for free.

Don't have a cookbook to swap? Write down your grandmother's famous pasta sauce recipe on a few notecards, type out detailed instructions for your gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan cheesecake that actually tastes amazing, draw a zine on how to make authentic kimchi, and leave those for others to discover and enjoy. You are not required to bring a cookbook to swap for one. This is all about c
ommunity supported food knowledge at its best!

(All cookbooks remaining at the end of the event will be donated)

We accept SNAP/EBT, and FDNP currencies!

If you would like to use EBT/SNAP at the Fill Your Pantry event, please bring your SNAP benefits card to the Bend Farmers Market booth at the Fill Your Pantry event. The Bend Farmers Market will be exchanging SNAP benefits for tokens. These tokens can be taken to any of our vendors to use just like you would your SNAP benefits. If you would like to use your FDNP vouchers, please take these vouchers directly to the vendors. Vendors that can take FDNP include: Boundless Farmstead, The Farmer in Odell, Rainshadow Organics, and Sungrounded Farm. In addition, The Bend Farmers Market will be offering up to a $20 match for EBT/SNAP recipients. So, if you exchange $20 in EBT benefits,  you will receive $40 in benefits!

Thanks to the Bend Farmers Market we will be offering
Double Up Food Bucks!

Central Oregon Knife Sharpening at the 2023 FYP

Picture
We are so excited to finally have Central Oregon Knife Sharpening joining us this year in their mobile knife sharpening truck. There is nothing more important in a well-used kitchen than a sharp knife. Bring your most used and beloved knives to FYP (wrapped up carefully please!) to be honed by the experts. Please be considerate and only bring a few knives (not your whole cupboard), so that everyone gets an opportunity to have their knives sharpened.

For an idea on pricing, check out their website here (prices are subject to change, but this should give you a ballpark idea)
