Fields Grassfed Beef has been a family run ranch in Prairie City, Oregon since 1974. Our certified grassfed cattle are raised on natural grass meadows. Our ranch’s lush native meadows and cattle are blessed to have fresh, cold and clean snow melt water out of the head waters of the John Day River. The John Day River starts in the beautiful Strawberry Mountains. We consider our grassfed beef the most energy efficient, socially acceptable, healthy, quality beef produced. Our beef is a tender, tasty quality product, which is fed only grass and grass hay along with salt and mineral. Our beef is certified Grassfed with the American Grassfed Association. The health benefits of our product exceed that of other beef. It is high in protein and has less fat (lipids) than skinless chicken breast.
What sets us apart?
1) Diet — Animals are fed only grass and forage from weaning until harvest. 2) Confinement — Animals are raised on pasture without confinement to feedlots. 3) Antibiotics, hormones, nitrates, nitrites, msg — Animals are never treated with antibiotics or growth hormones. Our jerky and pepperoni products are free of nitrates, nitrites and msg! We are gluten free. 4) Origin — All our animals are born and raised on our family ranch. Our customers know where their food comes from! 5) Quality - As a Fields Grassfed Beef customer you can expect the same superior taste experience every time. 6) Certification – We are proudly certified with the American Grassfed Association. 7) Tenderness – Our beef is dry aged for 10 to 12 days. Piedmontese cattle are naturally more tender than other breeds of cattle for the breeds Myostatin gene.
