Brown Basmati- Packed with whole grain goodness, Brown Basmati rice enjoys great popularity. It is an aromatic rice with the fragrance of Indian Basmati, but no elongation. An exotic choice when a fluffy, drier texture and an exotic aroma is desired, e.g., stir fry, salads, stuffing, pilaf, desserts.
Cooking Instructions
1 cup Lundberg Brown Basmati Rice2 cups water or broth1 tbsp. butter (optional)salt to taste
Rinse rice. Put all ingredients in a pot with a tight-fitting lid. Bring to a boil, stir once, reduce heat, cover and simmer 50 minutes. Do not remove lid. Remove from heat and allow to sit, covered, for 10 minutes. Fluff with a fork. A rice cooker may be used with the same water-to-rice ratio. Yield: 3 cups
