Farmer in Odell Mixed Apples, 7 mixed box options
Applesauce Mixed Box (20lbs)- We grew up using a mix of apples to make sauce. This is no hard-set rule, we just like the flavor profile a mix provides! These boxes will include Elstar, Jonathon, King Davids, Goldens, etc.
Mixed Apple Pie (20lbs)- Will include mostly tart apples which pair nicely with baking spices. We always recommend mixing a few apples together when baking. Beautiful mix of colors.
Mixed Eating Apples (22lbs)- Farmer's pick of what is best for fresh eating. Will include several longer lasting varieties, and varieties that should be enjoyed first on top. Examples include Ambrosia, Braeburn, Gala, Cameo, Honey Crisp and Pippens.
"Delicious" Mix (10lbs)- For our customers who grew up on Golden and Red Delicious- we can take you down memory lane with this mixed bag. Softer bodied apples can be a great option for people with sensitive teeth.
Heirloom Apple Mix (20lbs)- This box is a fun way to try a handful of varieties from the past. Your box will have Newtown Pippen on the bottom as they are the best keeper, and filled in with Spitzenburg, Cox's Orange Pippen, and Rome apples. Most of these apples are heavier on the tart side with a slight sweet finish. Great for cheese and cracker platters. Will make an amazing apple sauce if all combined! Excellent mixed together for holiday pies!
Animal Snacks (17-20lbs)- Treat for your wildlife friends! Have horses? Rabbits? Place on bird feeders or chop up to offer them to little guys! This is fun way to offer a sweet treat to our fuzzy friends during the winter. Keep the bag someplace cool and regularly check for any "bad apples" to keep the other fruit in good condition.
Dehydrating Mix (20lbs)- This bag of mixed apples will give you a sweet and tart blend for your dehydrator! You can leave plain or add your favorite flavoring. Cinnamon and sugar, Tajin, salt and lime, etc.
